Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣師範大學 === 體育學系 === 107 === This research took the aim to observe the current situation of the professional knowledge and the background of the table tennis coaches in Taiwan’s secondary schools. The goal was also to compare the difference between preparation standards and demands for table tennis coaches of different background variables, and to observe the relevant situation of preparation standards and demands of professional knowledge. The research method took conception as a sample, selecting 160 table tennis coaches as research subjects. These coaches have led teams to attend the 15-year-old national representatives election and ranking competition, as well as the national secondary schools portmeeting competitionin 2018. The measurement was a revised questionnaire named “ The Professional Knowledge of Table Tennis Coach. ” The acquired information was analyzed by implementing Descriptive Statistics, the Approach of Analysis of Variance, and Pearson Product-Moment Correlation. Results revealed the professional knowledge of the coaches:

2.The average mark of the demand level, from high to low:“ Table Tennis Professional Knowledge, ” “ The professional Development of the Coaches, ” “ The Knowledge of Teacher Training, ” “ The Cultivation and Development of Players’ Guidance, ” “ The Tools and The Use of Technology, ” and “ Subject Knowledge. ”
3.The difference between the professional knowledge preparation standards of the table tennis coaches from different background variables. Results revealed the significant differences upon the variances of coaches’ educational level, coach qualification level, and the highest level they reached as a player. The outcome was less prominent upon the variances of coaches’ gender, service level, age, and years of being a coach.
4.The difference between the demands for professional knowledge of the table tennis coaches from different background variables. Results revealed the significant differences upon the variances of coaches’ age. The outcome was less prominent upon the variances of coaches’ gender, educational level, service organization, years of being a coach, coach qualification level, and the highest level they reached as a player.
5.The preparation standards and the demand levels of the six aspects of professional knowledge were positively correlated.
