Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 音樂學系碩士在職專班 === 107 === This action research aims to explore the process when integrate a music arrangement software into the activities in music classes for 52 fifth-grade elementary school students and teacher’s reflection. Four units and 23 classes were included in the course; which was designed based on Art and Humanities Textbook 5, published by Han Lin Publishing. The use of music arrangement software, Garageband, was integrated into creative activities: adding chord accompaniment and arranging new loop sections. Data were collected via teacher’s self-reflection sheet, co-operating teacher observation sheet, video record, worksheet, e-voting result, self-assessment sheet, and the voice record when meeting with adviser. Information from these data was not only analyzed after the course finished but being used to modify the teaching behavior during the course. The following are the results: 1.Integrating music arrangement software into general music classes is an effective and feasible strategy. 2.Combine with music arrangement software and worksheet with brief instructions could smooth the teaching process. 3.Teacher’s open attitude could benefit students’ arrangement performance - more imagination, choosing more materials they want from the software, try more combination, and decide which section to be the outcome. 4.Using mobile devices with music arrangement software in general music class could improve students’ ability of active learning. 5.When integrating music arrangement software into creative activity in general music classes, parents could be informed about their children’s learning outcome through multiple methods.
