In order to analyze the components, this paper uses the finite element method to simulate, and under the premise that the components do not fail in the wavelength range of 1500 nm to 1600 nm, we focus on the height of the rib waveguide’s slab. However, if the slab being too height it will cause the TM mode cutoff in the long wavelength range and made the component failure. So we set the corresponding slab height to the condition that the TM mode will not be cutoff at the operating wavelength of 1600 nm, and the decoupling effect under different refractive index distributions. The simulation results show that when the refractive index of the cladding layer is smaller and the refractive index of the waveguide core is larger, the phenomenon of decoupling is more obvious, and it is more suitable for designing components. The effect of substrate refractive index on decoupling is less than that of the cladding layer. HSU, CHIH-WEI 許志維 2019 學位論文 ; thesis 51 zh-TW
