Lugu is famous for its tea and Zhushan is famous for its bamboos. Together, they have been renowned for the combination of tea and bamboo which is reminiscent of Tai-ji. This study aims to explore the spatial clustering of tourist attractions in Tai-Ji Splendor Land, which serve as the tourist attraction sites for the ecological environment and leisure activities. Field work and in-depth interviews were first conducted to collect the data. Next, the spatial analysis and point density analysis of Geographic Information System. were used to analyze 70 tourist attractions, 77 restaurants, and 160 B&B. Finally, the results of the analyses of Tai-Ji Splendor Land tourism clustering were examined with respect to the meanings of Tai-ji. The findings of this research are as follows: 1.Xitou Natural Education Area and Jhushan Tzunan Temple are the two major sites of tourist attractions.New tourist attraction sites were generated after the strikes of earthquakes and typhoons. 2.The results of the point density analysis showed that tourism clusters density are the highest in two settlements of Sheliao village in in Zhushan Township and Neihu village in Lugu Township, along the Provincial Route 3 and County Route 151 which resembles the Tai-ji double axis and S-curve. 3.There were three types of Tai-Ji Splendor Land tourism clusters identified: a horizontal cluster, a vertical cluster, and a diagonal cluster, indicating the effect of the local industry on promoting tourism activities and development and on boosting local economy.
