Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣體育運動大學 === 舞蹈學系碩士班 === 107 === Since engaging in dance teaching, I have found that the issue of "how to teach" is increasingly important. The purpose of this study consists of investigating how to improve the understanding, interpretation and learning pleasure of beginner dance students in their process of practicing, making up a dance and performing, when they face short practice time and lack of funds. The participants in this study were students of a junior high-school ethnic dance club. To conduct this research, I designed eight dance teaching classes that integrated “body mapping” and “cognitive-specific imagery”. The method to carry out this study was using action research through teaching students and collecting students’ feedback forms, teachers’ diaries and other course materials. I also used semi-structured interviews to understand the experience of the students and to analyze the learning process and the body awareness of the students. The findings suggest that the integrated curriculum helps students improve their body awareness and gain another method of dance learning, developing their performance of the essence of the movement. In conclusion, the imagery somatic curriculum can enhance the body awareness and movement control of non-dance-based students. At the same time, it can improve students’ dancing knowledge and skills, and develop students’ performance.
