Evalution of assessment zooplankton survival rate in Kaoping Coastal Areas of Taiwan and Kaohsuing Harbor by reactive dye (Neutral Red)

碩士 === 國立中山大學 === 海洋生物科技暨資源學系研究所 === 107 === The study is aiming at the survival rate and the large-scale composition of zooplankton in the Kaoping coastal areas (KPCA) as well as Kaohsiung Harbor (KH) during July 2016 to December 2017. The KPCA is mainly affected by the different water masses, and...

The KPCA is mainly affected by the different water masses, and the KH is mainly affected by the change of dry and wet seasons in Taiwan and the fresh water injection of the rivers.by contrast. During the study period, the zooplankton population was divided into 33 groups and was found out that the average abundance and survival rate of zooplankton in the KPCA 547.09 ± 116.94 ind./m3 and 45 ± 3% is higher than that in the KH 29.18 ± 5.90 ind./m3 and 40 ± 4 %. The common dominant species in these two areas is Calanus. To be analyzed more specific, KPCA has higher Calanus large-scale group of zooplankton composition ratio than KH does. However, as for the average survival rate of zooplankton, it was significantly negative correlated with water temperature in both areas. The results show that the average survival rate is affected by the composition of zooplankton groups, while the more sensitive environmental factors of the dominant zooplankton groups are likely to be reflected in the correlation between the overall survival rate of zooplankton and environmental factors.
