Some of the students from elementary to senior high in central Taiwan selected as participants in this research. Further analysis were made to know if other variables will alter the willingness of using visual aids of the students. The research tool was adepted from " The Questionnaire of The Intention of Using Low Vision Aids in Elementary Students with Visual Impairments in Taipei City" written by Ru-lin, Hsiao(2014). Ninety valid questionnaires were collected. Frequency Distribution, Descriptive Statistics, Pearson's product-moment correlation, T-test and one-way ANOVA were used to analyze the data acquired from the questionnaires. Some open questions were also used to understand the difficulties and feelings the participants have when using visual aids. A few conclusions are as following: 1. The low vision aids with the highest popularity rate using by the participants in central Taiwan is large-print books, followed by hand-held magnifiers and desktop video magnifiers. Besides, over eighty percent of the participants have more than one visual aids. 2. The degree of needs of visual aids in order is large-print books, hand-held magnifiers, desktop video magnifiers. 3. Most of the participants are very willing to use visual aids. 4. The participants from the first grade to the third grade give more priority to magnifiers than the participants from senior high do. 5. The participants are prone to encounter more difficulties when using large-print books, video magnifiers and magnifiers. 6. Most of the participants hold a positive attitude towards visual aids. They consider it is not only more convenient and easier for them to read, but also helps them see more clearly, reduces the fatigue and increases their learning effectiveness. Based on the conclusions, Some suggestions are proposed for the itinerant teachers for visual impairment students, teachers in related fields and future researchers.
