Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東大學 === 幼兒教育學系碩士班 === 107 === Based on the development of moral cognition and social cultural theory, this study was to describe and explore young children’s understanding of fairness. Based on children’s reader’s response to the two picturebooks (“Piggybook”and “König Hupf der I”), the in-depth interviews and pictorial expression of three 4-6 year olds were qualitatively analyzed. The findings were represented as following:1. Young children in this study worked out rich ideas about distributive fairness and their fairness judegements increased with age, but they employed different principles of distributive justice according to their social condition, and therefore their fairness judegements could hardly be bounded to any steady level of distributive justice development. 2. They showed remarkable sophistication not just in their understanding of visible side of fairness but also in their ability to conceive fairness abstractly. 3. Their concern for fairness were probably influenced by their social interaction with others. 4. Concerning social justice issues, young children in this study were not able to have a whole picture.
