The Arduino Uno development board is combined with five soil moisture detection probes and placed in different depths of soil to detect different depths under the soil. The water distribution can adjust the depth and quantity of the sensor according to the depth of the roots of each plant. Generally, only the shallow water system can be used, and the water level of the soil can be clearly known. Farmers to set the most appropriate amount of water for the plant.
The system has added the ESP8266 wireless Wi-Fi module, and the values read by the five soil moisture detection probes are uploaded to the Blynk cloud database through ESP8266, and then transmitted to the mobile phone. The planters can be remotely located (all over the world). The Blynk App on the mobile phone can be used to check the current water level. The Blynk App can also be used to switch the sprinkler from the remote control relay.
Farmers do not need to go to the agricultural land to inspect the soil moisture every day and achieve the goal of saving time and work. In Taiwan, with a limit population, it is also possible to plant a wider range of agricultural land. To realize the Internet of Things(IoT) application in agriculture.
