However, it is usually replaced when the wear is critical, but before this time, the processing time during the abrasion process or the worn surface condition or the change of the area is not taken into consideration. In order to provide a set of testing procedures, this study uses a new stone cutter with a new motor carbon brush for wear testing and subsequent detection. The ultrasonic detecting instrument can measure without destroying the object to be tested, and the ultrasonic signal is reflected when the ultrasonic equipment detects the surface of motor carbon brush, thereby recording the situation of the surface abrasion area. And from the different wear time and the different pressure, the two faces are compared separately. In addition, the roughness is shortened from the length of -50um and the roughness under different wear time is observed from the roughness meter. The measurement method is used as a reference, and it can be confirmed in the design or replacement of the motor carbon brush in the future whether the optimized design can be achieved or the subsequent selection can choose a better one.
