Three hundred fifty-five (355) questionnaires were distributed via an online website –“SurveyCake” to students who majored in tourism and hospitality management at two national universities in Kaohsiung city, Taiwan. The first construct of the questionnaire asked student's demographic background, the second explored their Kolb's Learning Style Inventory, the third is a Big Five personality traits, and the last is willingness to work in hospitality industry upon graduation. Its aimed at evaluating the relevance between student background, learning style, and personality by using descriptive statics, drawing radar chart, ANOVA, and correlation analysis. A total of 324 valid responses were received. The Learning Style “Accommodator,” “Diverger,” “Converger,” and “Assimilator” are positively related to a willingness to work in the hospitality industry upon graduation. The Big Five Personality type “Extraversion,” “Agreeableness,” “Conscientiousness,” and “Open to experience” have positive impacts on “Accommodator,” “Diverger,” “Converger,” and “Assimilator.” “Extraversion,” “Agreeableness,” “Conscientiousness,” and “Open to experience” have a positive relationship with willingness to work in hospitality industry.
