People in Taiwan gradually participated in overseas mountaineering tours, mainly led by professional travel agencies with less mountaineering expertise. This study investigates the service gap from the providers and the customers who are interested in overseas mountaineering tours so as to develop a new business model for overseas mountaineers. Through in-depth interviews with two experts in this industry to discuss current service providers' business models,including key activities , key resources, key partners, target customers, customer relationships, channels and value propositions,this study identified the possible service gaps in the market. Furthermore,this study collected 26 samples through the customer questionnaire to pinpoint hikers' perceptions of overseas mountaineering tours and the services they received to understand what actual needs, benefits and pain points perceived. Based on the results, the thesis proposes a New Business Model for Overseas Mountaineering.
