The erection crews are labor-intensive and influences the schedule and cost of the entire project. The construction productivity can be raising by managing effectively during the construction period. This case study on productivity of steel erection is based on two buildings by using the technique of Thomas productivity and Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to investigate on the structural steel erection productivity and the influencing factors. The results of this study are as follow: 1.In this research the cumulative productivity of steel erection is between 1.11 to 1.60 wh/pc (or 0.52 to 1.17 wh/ton). 2.The learning effect shows the more practice, the better crew productivity. 3.The crew productivity is influenced by material delivery delay during the erection period, and the influencing factor is management factor can be improved by effective management. The result of this research can make project member to enhance to evaluate the crew productivity, and to put a high value on the influential factors in construction period to decrease the affection when project execution and increase the entire performance of construction industry.
