Such as SS400 (low-carbon steel), SUS304 (Ni-Cr stainless steel) and AA1100 (Aluminum alloy) which thermal spraying Ni-coated or Al-coated or ZnAl-coated or Cu-coated on the surface. The sample which complete thermal spraying were subjected to the tafle experiment and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) to conduct research and analysis of the corrosion mechanism. The results from the Tafle experiment show that SS400 (low-carbon steel) which have thermal spraying coated, corrosion current density:Base material>ZnAl-coated>Al-coated>Ni-coated. Corrosion current density of SUS304 (Ni-Cr stainless steel) which have thermal spraying coated:Cu-coated>Al-coated>Base material>Ni-coated. Corrosion current density of AA1110 (Aluminum alloy) which have thermal spraying coated:Ni-coated>ZnAl-coated>Base material>Al-coated. The SS400 which have thermal spraying was coated paint primer and soaked in 3.5% NaCl solution to electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, wherein the Al-coated has the highest resistance of 346kΩ, the corrosion resistance:Al-primer coated>Ni-primer coated>ZnAl-primer coated. The SS400 which have thermal spraying was coated paint primer-top coated and soaked in 3.5% NaCl solution to electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, wherein the Al-coated has the highest resistance of 1.46 MΩ, the corrosion resistance: Al-primer-top coated>ZnAl-primer-top coated>Ni-primer-top coated.
