| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄科技大學 === 輪機工程系 === 107 === In recent years, with the development trend of the port area and the promotion of marine cities by the Kaohsiung City government, international cargo ships often carry great amount of goods or chemicals into harbour. In the event of a cargo ship fire, the loss of property and casualties are more than those of past. . Due to the specific internal configuration of cargo ship and the single export design of the cargo hold, it is difficult to rescue the ship fire. The fire rescue task is a big challenge. This study will take the cargo ship fire as the research object. By referring to the fire fighting strategy of foreign ships, domestic fire fighting case analyses, discussions concerning the rescue measures for freighter fires, and qualified training by government agencies or maritime universities, the students will be able to have professional contingency and disaster relief capabilities. Those students will then be able to quickly rescue the fire according to the fire rescue measures once a ship fire occurs in the port area.
