However, when the sensor data uploading the cloud server increases the convenience, it also increases the data security and user privacy concerns. Therefore, how to fully use the data, taking into account the user's privacy and convenience is a problem. This paper proposes “Design and Implementation of Versatile Smart Plugs Empowering Collaborative IOT with Mobile Devices”. On the one hand, it can be combined with mobile devices as gateways. In addition to collecting data on smart plugs, it can also support IoT architecture and upload data to cloud servers. The system supports offline mode operation and completes data collection and device control without a gateway connection. The system architecture is divided into three levels, which are divided into “Smart Plug Node”, “Mobile Gateway” and “Cloud Server”; Smart plugs are implemented using MSP430 microprocessor, which can perform power measurement, power control, scheduling control. With the power record and other functions, and in offline mode can record more than one year of electricity consumption; mobile phone gateway is a smart phone with gateway device APP, after testing can connect two smart plugs at the same time, capture sensing Data and control wisdom plugs. Through the combination of the smart plugs node and the mobile gateway, the user can choose to operate in a wired or offline mode, taking into account the balance function direction and privacy security. Future work will increase the number of devices outside the plugs, and some applications will be handled by mobile phone gateways, allowing mobile phone gateways to perform basic services such as small databases, reducing the need and burden of cloud servers.
