As with the development of industrial technology, up to now, railway technology has made significant progress, realizing the implementation of high-speed rail, rapid transit and light rail systems. railway transportation is the core transportation for every city. Thus, there will be a huge number of passengers. In this case safety would be acritical issue and the operator shall treat it seriously. In case a safety issue occurs, not only the business reputation, but also the public safety would be jeopardized. The installation of a platform screen door (PSD) is common on the platform of railway transportation. However, there are some platforms where it is not possible to install the PSD, due to budgetary concerns. The various types of trains also make it impossible to install a single type of PSD on the platform. The study presents a system which will achieve a lower cost of design and installation while assures the platform safety and protects the right of operators. The system can be applied on the platforms which have different types of trains running through, to address the issues of PSD installation. The system mentioned in this study is a kind of platform safety application and an alternative to the PSD. Although it cannot prevent the intentional invasion of platform tracks, it would issue an alarm in order to prevent a hazardous situation and improve safety. The study will present a comprehensive platform invasion warning system, starting from introducing the designed structure and the application of each system unit, following by the explanation of development and implementation process and finally demonstrating the results of the actual operation.
