Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄科技大學 === 財富與稅務管理系 === 107 === This study explores whether the personal traits of insurance practitioners affect their work satisfaction and performance through 313 valid questionnaires out of a total of 350 questionnaires that were sent out. This study adopts regression analysis to verify the hypothesis, showing results that the personal traits of insurance practitioners (including rigor, extroversion, and agreeability) have a significantly positive impact on work satisfaction, while work satisfaction (including external and internal satisfaction) of insurance practitioners has a significantly positive impact on work performance. The personal traits of insurance practitioners include "openness", "rigor", "extroversion", "agreeability", and "neuroticism", among which "rigor" obtains the highest recognition followed by "openness" and "agreeability". Regarding work satisfaction, the average recognition of internal satisfaction is higher than that of external satisfaction. The work satisfaction of male insurance practitioners is significantly higher than that of their female counterparts, and their work performance is also significantly higher than that of their female counterparts. The performance and satisfaction of insurance practitioners with an annual average income over NT$500,000 are significantly higher than those earning less than NT$500,000 per year. The performance and satisfaction of insurance practitioners are in proportion to the number of professional certificates they have. The performance and satisfaction of insurance practitioners are also in proportion to the number of clients who have made a deal with them. Finally, this study proposes suggestions for the operation and management of the insurance industry.
