Currently, at the stage of senior high school education, positive results have been published for second foreign language curricula. However, when it comes to elementary education, foreign language teaching is mostly concentrated on English, while Japanese teaching activities are still in the promotion stage and have not yet been popularized. Recently, the author had the honor of working as a teacher of elementary school club to conduct a practical research on the promotion and implementation of Japanese language education using the “JF Japanese e-Learning Minato”. This study was conducted in elementary school club by combining the use of an e-learning material for blended learning with the purpose of verifying whether this e-learning material has an influence on the promotion of learning motivation and achievement of learning goals. The participants of this study were mainly elementary school students who had not learned Japanese before. They were from two different elementary school clubs. One was the experimental group, which used blended learning by combining e-learning teaching materials; the other was the control group, which used a traditional hard copy e-learning material. The results of this study show that, based on an independent sample t-test, the experimental group was not significantly superior to the control group (p<.05) in improvement of learning motivation, but the technique still had a certain influence on stimulating learning motivation. The experimental group was significantly superior to the control group in achieving the learning goals, which demonstrates that the introduction of the digital teaching material “JF Japanese e-Learning Minato” achieved positive results. This paper consists of five chapters, each of which is divided into the following parts. Chapter 1 Introduction: Study background, study motivation, study subjects, study methods, and explanations of terms. Chapter 2 Literature review: E-learning and blended learning. Chapter 3 Practical Research Plan: Curriculum objectives, teaching syllabus, and practice process. Chapter 4 Investigation of Outcomes: Through the ARCS questionnaire and a verbal scoring scale Rubric, the outcomes of the two groups in learning motivation and learning goals were analyzed and compared. Chapter 5: Conclusions and Suggestions for Future Research on this Topic. In this study, elementary school students who had no experience in learning Japanese were taken as the study participants, and a practical research on Japanese teaching was conducted by integrating e-learning materials. It is hoped that the results of this study will be helpful to the application of Japanese teaching or the promotion of second foreign languages at the stage of elementary education.
