Therefore, employees are encouraged to participate in leisure activities, and to observe its impact on the work has become an issue of concern for companies.
This study aimed to explore the relationships between leisure activities, mindfulness, positive affect, innovative behavior, and job performance. We posited mindfulness and positive affect to be a mediator to explain the effects of leisure activities on innovative behavior and job performance.
This study adopted workers as research participants and adopted convenience sampling as the survey method for collecting data. This study obtained 280 valid questionnaires, and the response rate was 87.5%. The results revealed that leisure activities had a positive effect on mindfulness, positive affect, innovative behavior and job performance. However mindfulness and positive affect are mediator between leisure activities, innovative behavior and job performance.
