碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 視覺設計學系 === 107 === ABSTRACT In recent years, the number of high-rise building has increased .Compare to other cities，the housing market is popular by outsider due to lower price and convenient transportation advantage in Kaohsiung .People usually search and gather first-hand information through internet，so the building's appearance is the most important impression of all. Architectural style is related to the urban style, architects, contemporary popular direction and consumer taste. However the building appearance is one of the key points that affects the archectural value. This study collect high-rise buildings which builted during 2009 to2018 and got using license from Kaohsiung government. Field surveys and interview with salesman were done at first，then analyzed the appearance of buildings by using the literature method. Second in order，search impression vocabulary of building appearance from different consumers with design and non-design background and make questionnaire and investigation to find out the influence between building appearance and archectural value. The specific results are as follows: 1. Postmodern architectural style is the development trend in the past ten years; Building’s color with black& white is trend and there are more green color buildings in recent years；There are more buildings set without shop to keep outside appearance clean and enhance the building value；Buildings with design concept，stylish pattern and shape would made building outstanding and different from others. 2. Categorize the analytic direction of building appearance and get the main factors that influence building appearance and archectural value are as sort by importance as follows: Design，Shape，Distinguishable，Line / Pattern /Scale，Mental feeling，Style，Personal taste，Concept，color and material. 3. Findings related to architectural style from investigation: (1) Postmodern architecture style buildings were voted in all investigation. The characteristics of the appearance are varied so that consumers have varied feelings about the building appearance. (2) Baroque style buildings weren’t thought to have low selling price . Baroque style buildings are like a crafted art for the nobility and also in line with the consumer's perception. (3) Art Deco style buildings were thought very expensive .Golden decorative elements create a noble residential atmosphere and visual characteristics. (4) Neoclassicism style buildings were thought in all negative side. The appearance characteristics are old-fashioned and aren’t popular . There are some suggestions for further reference of rising archectural value: Some construction cases paid low attention to the building appearance and low present good overview photos of the building’s appearance on their website when selling。Some building’s name and plants in landscape are not match up to the archectural style.
