Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 人力與知識管理研究所 === 107 === The purpose of this study is to examine the correlation between demographic variables, personality traits and performance. Entrepreneurial activity is one of the main reasons to promote economic growth, and has become the mainstream of commercial activities. The added values have made great contributions to Taiwan's economy. In terms of academic research, scholars have been engaged in studies related to entrepreneurship, among which demographic variables and personality traits as entrepreneurial motivation and entrepreneurial performance are one of the popular studies. However, despite of abundant empirical data, there is no consistent result. Therefore, in this study, meta-analysis was used to integrate the research data related to startup founder’s demographic variables, personality traits and entrepreneurial performance. The meta-analysis could integrate many research data into one data, and then convert the statistical results of each research into Z-value, which can be further analyzed. Demographic variables (gender, age, education, entrepreneurial experience, marital status) and five personality traits were analyzed in this study. The results showed that some startup founder’s demographic variables have differences in personality traits and entrepreneurial performance, and there is a positive correlation between personality traits and entrepreneurial performance.
