With developing micro-industries and cultural features locally, we can thus attract domestic and foreign tourists and promote sustainable development and rejuvenate the economy in the country. The main content of the questionnaire consists of five parts, the basic personal information, the scale of motivation for recreational arts activities, the scale of participation in activities, the scale of experience in activities, and the scale of happiness while participating. Data analysis methods include descriptive statistical analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis iv and other statistical methods for data analysis, and the use of linear structural equations to construct the model of the relations. The results of this study found that the participation of arts and cultural activities from participants has a significant positive correlation with the experience in activities, and motivation for leisure has a significant positive correlation with the participation in activities. The experience in activities has a significant correlation with the happiness while participating, while motivation for leisure has a significant positive correlation with the experience in activities. The participation in activities has a significant positive correlation with the happiness while participating. City and bring the development of surrounding culture and creativity, the government set up
the "Kaohsiung City Dadong Arts Center" in 2012.With the link between the Kaohsiung MRT
and various major cultural networks, the Kaohsiung cultural chain will be built to create a
complete metropolitan arts network. The number of the participants in art appreciation and
cultural activities has increased sharply. In addition to the advocacy of Arts and cultural
activities from the government, and arts groups, they still need to realize the motivation of the
participants involved in leisure activities of arts and culture, and the relation between
happiness and the purpose of the public while participating in. Therefore, the purpose of this
study is to explore the relations between recreational motivation, leisure involvement, leisure
experience and happiness among participants of arts activities at Kaohsiung City Dadong Arts
Center.
This research adopts the method of questionnaire survey, and the object is the
participants of the arts activities of Kaohsiung City Dadong Arts Center. With intentional
sampling, a total of 400 valid questionnaires were used to do the data analysis. The main
content of the questionnaire consists of five parts, the basic personal information, the scale of
motivation for recreational arts activities, the scale of participation in activities, the scale of
experience in activities, and the scale of happiness while participating. Data analysis methods
include descriptive statistical analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis
iv
and other statistical methods for data analysis, and the use of linear structural equations to
construct the model of the relations.
The results of this study found that the participation of arts and cultural activities from
participants has a significant positive correlation with the experience in activities, and
motivation for leisure has a significant positive correlation with the participation in activities.
The experience in activities has a significant correlation with the happiness while
participating, while motivation for leisure has a significant positive correlation with the
experience in activities. The participation in activities has a significant positive correlation
with the happiness while participating. It suggests that the mode of coordinating the happiness
with cultural activities for participants should be built. Arts and cultural activities participants
can develop their leisure motivation, involvement, enhance their sense of happiness, help
increase their enjoyment of life and increase the benefits of arts and leisure. The results and
suggestions of this study are available to the management units of Kaohsiung City Dadong
Arts Center for their reference of all governmental authorities in charge of arts and cultural activities.
