Description
Summary:碩士 === 南榮科技大學 === 工程科技研究所碩士班 === 107 === The purpose of this research is to improve the social skills of students with autism spectrum disorder by using mobile Application and the focused conversation method. Nowadays, mobile devices are so popular that almost all the junior high school students have mobile phones. In addition to personal communication and social functions, mobile phones are the most direct tools for teaching, counselling and communication. This research uses the MIT App Inventor 2 to design one mobile Application with the advantages of a user-friendly interface and easy programming steps. In this case study, the subject is one junior high student with autism spectrum disorder. Through the implementation of ten courses, situational stories are presented in the designed mobile Application, and then the focus discussion method leads the student to reflect. By collecting the student’s learning worksheet, classroom observation record, teacher feedback and parents interview, the research gets the following findings: 1. After the implementation of these courses, the subject improves his social skills, including interpersonal interaction, emotional management, self-awareness, etc. 2. The teachers and parents can fully feel the progress of the autistic student, and thus give this research positive support and affirmation.
