A new antenna architecture for small cell applications is proposed in the thesis. The antenna was designed on the bands for the Long Term Evolution (LTE) and wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) applications. LTE band includes low band (733 MHz to 830 MHz), high band (1700 MHz to 1830 MHz), and WLAN band (2210 MHz to 2560 MHz).The printed dipole antenna and the microstrip line feeding structure on the back are used in order to reduce the size of the antenna. The antenna size is 160 mm × 40 mm. The comparison between simulation and measurement results shows that the antenna designed can meet the requirements of the small-cell base-station.
