碩士 === 南華大學 === 文化創意事業管理學系 === 107 === 　　In recent years, due to the continuous concern of the society on the issue of homosexuality, having a foundation where there is open social attitude and a diversified writing platform, the writers are able to write about a variety of topics, and the content is no longer suppressed. Taking an overview of past researches, we found that most of the lesbian-related researches focused on analysis of text in the 1990s, and rarely do they explore the production and sales situation after the establishment of these lesbian publishers in Taiwan after year 2000. This study has approached its research based on Escarpit Theory aimed at how the lesbian publishers should consider and adjust their production process under the influence of an economy recession of the large environment. This can further lead to an understanding of the development history, production and sales of lesbian publishers in the context of Taiwanese publishing. In order to explore the business model conducted by the manager of "Lesbian Press - Norther Light", this article uses "archive record sorting" and "semi-structured interview method" as the data collection method. It is found that in the process of producing and issuing books, as a response to the small niche market of the lesbian readers, research subject has put more emphasis on whether the plot is captivating and whether the structure is complete. This was done more than the other publishers. Furthermore, with the publishing industry gradually declining, the research case is also affected by it. After experiencing the impact of changed publishing laws and dealers' collapses, publishers must adjust their directions and grasp the fund flow at all time as seen necessary, plus actively cultivating their authors to prevent the problem of a lack of writing from happening. This is also a core competitive advantage for a publishing company. With the diversified development of the entertainment channels, the younger generation does not necessarily want to read novels. Therefore, this study suggested that the lesbian publishing company can attempt to open up e-book channels, so that the younger readers can read on their smart phones.
