Taking five high-grade homeroom teachers at the elementary level as research subjects, the study applied in-depth interviews and close observations and went through relevant documents to collect data and investigate the strategy employed by high-grade elementary homeroom teachers for classroom management.   The findings drawn from this study are as follows: 1. With regards to classroom management, most high-grade homeroom teachers set out to cultivate students the ability of independent thinking and a positive mindset towards life; 2. School-held courses related to classroom management and exchange and sharing with their fellow grade teachers can bring about new ideas and thoughts in teachers; 3. Students' personal dispositions, family background as well as those of homeroom teachers and other legal concerns often act as obstacles to the progression of classroom management; 4. Solutions to the above difficulties in managing classroom have been reviewed and discussed; 5. On the basis of those findings, recommendations on how high-grade elementary homeroom teachers should run their classroom and potential research directions have been put forth for future reference.
