In recent years, Taiwan’s personal sport awareness has led the rise of leisure sports.
At the same time, it has become more and more popular in the use of sports glasses in Taiwan.
The researcher has engaged in glasses design and development for 17 years. Therefore, with literature review and self-implementation survey (questionaiare survey) datas to explore the consumers’ demand of the modern sports glasses industry, and also the types of sports glasses that are chosen by modern people.
The study considered gender, age, residence area, education level, occupation, personal average monthly income, different weekly exercise days, whether to wear glasses during exercise, have purchased sports glasses or not as fators affecting the trend of sports glasses design.
The conclusions of the research are as follows:
1. Design elements: customers have higher value on structural function than material.
2. Appearance: customers have higher value on one-piece lens with half-frame frame than two-piece lens with half-frame frame (second highest).
3. Structural function: Adjustable nose pad has better evaluation.
