The humanitarian situation in Syria remains unstable. After more than six years of conflict, there still are refugees and asylum seekers who cannot return to their country (Syria) because of a well-founded fear of persecution, conflict, violence, or other circumstances that have seriously disturbed public order, and who, as a result, require international protection. The focus will remain on the strategic plans which Jordanian government implemented to sustain the huge number of Syrian refugees since 2011. The study will review various methods that Jordanian government implemented to protect the Syrians, especially woman and children, and the role of the international laws to protect the refugees during wars. This paper will also evaluate the life-saving assistance to more than a million and a half refugees who have been driven from their homes. The international responsibility regards of the protection of Syrian refugees will also be discussed. Furthermore, the study looked closely to the effect of those refugees on the security, economic and social stability on Jordan. The study assessed the protection of refugees according to the international law and the strategic response plans been prepared by Jordan to deal with the refugee crises, especially while the United Nations agencies didn't receive adequate funding to protect Syrian refugees in Jordan according to their statements. Finally, the conclusion will be provided with suggestions and recommendations. Dr. Ruei Lin Yu 2019 學位論文 ; thesis 179 en_US |
