碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 觀光暨休閒遊憩學系 === 107 === This study followed the journey of the middle-aged author, who realized her dream of being a graduate student. The turning point at which she made her decision was explored, and the meaning of learning reflected upon. The author, who played multiple roles in real life, struggled to balance her dreams and family responsibility. Considering the process of vacillating between pursuing her dream and surrendering it, this study attempted to identify the meaning behind her learning behavior and investigated the leisure and learning experience of a middle-aged married woman who is back to school as a graduate student. The objective of this paper is to highlight the learning experience of women who must manage contradictions and the conflict caused by playing multiple roles. The narrative analysis was expected to indicate the driving force behind and comprehension of life. This paper hopefully serves as not only a record of her leisure and learning experience but also as an example to married women that they can bravely face challenges and listen to their inner voice. Women exist not only to care for their families but also to remain true to their past and wishes and thus live in the present and build their desired future.
