The key requirements for C-V2V communications service are to provide ultra-reliable and low latency communications. Therefore, the challenge of C-V2V communications service is to effectively utilize the finite radio resource to improve the capacity and reliability of transmission. How to lower the computation loading in evolved base stations (eNBs) to decrease the latency of transmission, and reduce the overhead of signaling for the whole system are always the key points for studying. In this dissertation, we focus on freeway scenario and propose two approaches utilizing the resource separation with reusing mechanism to schedule radio resource appropriately. The first proposed approach is a region-based adaptive clustering and scheduling scheme. This scheme through clustering the transmitting vehicles and assigning the cluster head vehicles to reduce the loading in eNB by offloading the scheduling to the cluster head vehicles. The second proposed approach is a zone-based hybrid scheduling scheme utilizing the sensing congestion mechanism. This scheme through appropriate eNB scheduling followed by distributed scheduling to largely reduce the eNBs’ loading on signaling and computation but maintain the quality of service of C-V2V communications.
