Model and cool jazz are two styles mainly picked in these recitals because the writer is influenced a lot by them within learning period. She choose tunes mostly written by Bill Evans and Herbie Hancock. By playing these tunes with model jazz theory and style, she intend to discuss how model and cool jazz influence modern jazz.
Besides, she also choose 7 her originals which are heavily shaped by jazz theory and every inspiration in her daily life.
Through two recitals, first, she has chance to be more familiar with harmony concept in model and cool jazz. Second, to realize how these styles connect to modern jazz. Last but not least, by her jazz knowledge, she hope can pay a contribution to Taiwan jazz environment.
