Observational method was adopted in the study to record the group process. Moreover, semi-structured interview was also conducted to collect and dissect the experience of the participants in the group. With the aid of framework of Jungian psychology, the study with hermeneutic phenomenology made holistic interpretation and analysis of the five participants’ life stories, including family experiences, breakup experiences, and resonant fairy tales. The research results indicated that (a.) the resonant fairy tales and stories reflected the quandary of the intimate relationship of participants who had experienced the feeling of loss resulting from breakup; (b.) quandary of participants’ intimate relationship stemmed from the trauma caused by their early object relations; (c.) through the observation of the group process, the participants’ transference and social interaction patterns evoked their shades and complexes. In general, the study makes four contributions as follows: (a.) this is the first nationwide research in applying fairy tale therapy to groups. (b.) it takes spiritual form of females’ breakup experience with the framework of Jungian psychology. (c.) during the group process, what matters the most is not the number of fairy tales used but the depth of the single story discussed. (d.) the feeling of loss turns out to be a turning point for their life, which helps the lost set off on a heroic journey inside. Last but not least, based on the research results and conclusions, discussions are made on the application of Jungian psychology to those with the feeling of loss due to breakup experience. In addition, relevant suggestions are also offered for the counselling practitioners and researchers in the field as a reference down the road. 黃宗堅 2019 學位論文 ; thesis 218 zh-TW
