Summary: | 碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 運動健康研究所 === 107 === The use of substances is a serious problem in Taiwan and abroad. There is currently no single effective treatment. Many studies have confirmed that exercise is beneficial to the prognosis of substance use. This study is conducted twice a week for patients with substance using moderate to high-intensity exercise intervention for a total of 12 weeks. This was designed to explore the effects of exercise intervention on impulse control and self-efficacy in patients with substance use disorder. The study population consisted of 19 cases of substance use disorders in a therapeutic community in the central part of Taiwan. The average age was 16.74 ± 0.87 years. The average age of the first drug use was 14.842 ± 1.068. The main illegal substances used were Amphetamines accounted for 36.84%, Ketamine accounted for 57.89%, and MDMA accounted for 5.26%. The measuring tools are the Chinese version of Barratt Impulse Control Scale and Self-efficacy Scale for substance abusers. Data analysis was performed using t-test, and Pearson product difference correlation. The results showed that the self-efficacy and impulse control changes of the subjects were not significant. Based on the results and discussion of this study, recommendations for future clinical applications and future research were given.
