Summary: | 碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 教育研究所 === 107 === The purpose of the study was to explore the present situation, difficulties and coping strategies for the characteristic management by private high school in Penang, Malaysia. The case focused on a private high school with outstanding achievement by characteristic management by analysed the school history and the future development, interviews with the private high school principal, teachers and parents of the small private high school, and documentary support. Conclusions were drawn as follows:
1. The concepts of the private high school characteristic
management are “School for the Student”, “Encourage
Students to Develop Multiple Ability” and "Fully
Development".
2. The situation of the private high school characteristic
management are shown in "School Environment", "Professional
Development", "Curriculum and Teaching" and "Parent’s
Participation".
3. The difficulties of the private high school characteristic
management are:" School Concept’s not been Recognized","
Lack of Human Resources", “Limited Fund and Resources" and
"Market Competitors".
4. The effectiveness of the private high school characteristic
management are: "Students Learning Well", "Parental
Recognition", "Student Enrolment Stable", "Teacher
Professional Development and Cooperation" and "School
Performance Affirmed by the Education Supervisor".
Based on the above conclusions, suggestion proposed to the
private high school management,parents, government related
policy implementation and follow-up researcher.
