Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 物理學系 === 107 === In recent years, modeling has been officially nominated as one of the most important learning intelligences in the Taiwanese 12-year Basic Education. In this study, students not only learn scientific knowledge, but also construct their own models to solve problems. However, previous studies showed that teachers are not familiar with the model’s nature and construction, which means it may be hard to build model and teach modeling construction. Thus, it is suggested that center of teaching education should cultivate pre-service promoting these skills. This study attempts to use the MMD modeling process as a framework to design an electric current modeling course for 24 pre-service teachers. By analyzing statistics and the content of interview, we can understand the differences in pre-service teachers’ modeling capabilities. According to the research results, the MMD current modeling course in this study really helps pre-service teachers to improve their modeling capabilities. Pre-service teachers who successfully developed the ability, which can "maize" and "micro" annotate the models can completely solve the conceptual difficulties. The most important part is model establishment and model characterization. This study takes pre-service teachers’ daily life as an observing target, therefore, they should develop their own way to explain the model. Most of pre-service teachers express it is necessary to adequately understand their own model and its relevant mechanisms during group discussion. In other words, group discussion is the crucial part that makes model used from beginning to the end, and complete perspective about model as well. It is recommended that modeling be used to teach pre-service teachers in the future, which can improve their modeling abilities and make them distinguish the differences and advantages between modeling courses and traditional courses. It may increase the possibility that they use modeling during teaching students in the future.
