Summary: | 碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 化學系 === 107 === In order to prepare organic receptors for specific anions, especially sulfate and phosphate, we previously successfully synthesized two ligands (L2 and L3) bearing pyrrolyl and amino functionalities and found that [HL2]+ and [HL3]+ can selectively capture SO42- and H2PO4- anions as precipitates in ethanol, respectively. In this report, further investigations on both receptors were made and presented. Although receptor [HL2]+ in CHCl3 has the capability to extract sulfate anions from water media, it also extracted other anions, such as Cl-, Br-, NO3-, based on 1H NMR analyses. We also synthesized one-carbon shorter (L4) and longer (L5) analogues of L3 to understand the effect of receptor’s length on the selectivity of anions. Receptor [HL4]+, behaving similar to [HL3]+, can selectively precipitate H2PO4- anions in ethanol or DMSO/water mixture as also revealed by x-ray crystal structure. Although receptor [HL5]+ cannot precipitate any anions in ethanol, it shows specific interactions with H2PO4- anions from 1H NMR measurements.
