Civil engineering, as a pioneer of industry, which is related to every citizen the most should combine information software nowadays with traditional engineering to improve drawbacks in old days, with establishing convinced methods and technologies, which have higher quality and lower cost. In this essay, via the latest functions of Leica Total Station and PaveSmart 3D , we focus on the details and feasibilities of controlling elevation of pavement automatically from designers in the office to constructions on site, discussing the cautions and details in every steps. Afterwards, in terms of completed elevation data and flatness test report, we can compare result with data from traditional elevation control method and then conclude whether the qualitiy is better or not. In this essay, we not only discuss the details of steps and feasibilities but also introduce the method and steps of building database which is built by Microsoft Access, an easily understood software. Due to most of users did not have computer science background, we hope to provide a software with a lower threshold in order to help users manipulate efficiently.
