There are many factors that show the intense competition in this industrial environment, such as multiple dimensions and specifications, rapid change of market demand, and short life cycle. Furthermore, the situations of LCD panel are susceptible to the exchange rate fluctuations that have a huge impact on the supply and the price. Consequently, how to improve the efficiency of supply chain management and to maintain a reasonable safety stock level are vital and crucial points to enhance profit and competitiveness of the company.
In this study, we would like to explore the trend of the stock level in the America branch of company A by using the Theory of Constraint with demand-pull strategy. In order to manage the limitation of the entire system, we can use the demand-pull strategy that arrange the production plan based on actual demand instead of searching for demand after product produced, so called supply-push strategy. Apart from demand-pull strategy, we will also apply buffer management to construct a reasonable safety stock that aims to remain lower inventory level while fulfilling the market demand. In turn, the enterprise could enhance profits of business, maintain high competitiveness, and meet all needs from the customers.
By controlling the stock level, the company will not only have the best efficiency with lower inventory cost and backlog, but also ensure smooth operations and sustainable development.
