Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立交通大學 === 經營管理研究所 === 107 === Non-linear phenomena exist in our daily life; however, people even do not know how this phenomena happens. This research studied the issue of whether non-linear phenomena could be modeled. We figured out the mechanism of “phase change” and Cusp Catastrophe theory. In order to prove the relationship between the theory and phenomena, we use Cusp Catastrophe theory to interpret the nonlinear phenomena of two cases. In this thesis, we found out Cusp Catastrophe model could be applied to the cases with inflection points, which increases the breadth of the application of model. Moreover, we provided an approach to analyze the non linear phenomena with Cusp Catastrophe model. From management perspectives, the researcher found out the significant meaning of key control factors on “phase change”. As long as the manager masters the key control factors, the complex problems could be simplified. It helped managers reach a better performance with less effort.
