Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立交通大學 === 電信工程研究所 === 107 === Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) technique has recently been confirmed that it can reach a better throughput than the traditional orthogonal multiple access (OMA) technique. In this thesis, based on a power-domain uplink NOMA setting, we analyze the throughput of slotted ALOHA using the slot type model and the Markov model. The former analysis is exact but complicated, particularly when the number of users N and the number of slots in a frame M grow large, while the latter can fit for arbitrary N and M. The latter analysis, as a side result, allows us to investigate numerically the relation between the optimal transmission probability and the number of users. Our results indicate that NOMA-ALOHA can lead to a higher expected value and a lower standard deviation of the throughput than OMA-ALOHA and hence is a better technology option in 5G system.
