Summary: | 碩士 === 國立交通大學 === 電信工程研究所 === 107 === In this thesis, a novel structure of broadband impedance transforming forward wave coupler is proposed. Various impedance transforming ratio between input and output ports and power dividing ratio between the two output ports are feasible in the proposed design procedures. Subsequently, an example is implemented in the last chapter of this thesis. An impedance transforming ratio of 2.5 (50Ω to 20Ω) and a bandwidth of 86% is designed for the example circuit. The measured results show good agreement with the prediction. The substrate used in the circuits are Rogers RO4003 (εr=3.55, H=20mil) and Rogers RT/Duroid 5880 (εr=2.2, H=5mil). The structure of vertical installed planar (VIP) is used to design the strong coupled lines.
