Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立暨南國際大學 === 管理學院經營管理碩士學位學程碩士在職專班 === 107 === Title of Thesis:The Management of Job Stress and Burnout of Prison Administrative Personnel: Using Hsinchu Prison as an Example Name of Institute:Executive Master of Business Administration, College of Management, National Chi Nan University Pages:61 Graduation Time: 06/2019 Degree: Master Student Name: Jie-Wen Jen Advisor Name: Dr. Kuan-Cheng Ko Abstract The purpose of this study is to understand the working pressure and burnout of prison guard managers, and to explore the difference between the work pressure and burnout of the guard managers with different backgrounds. We further provide plausible solutions to mitigate the working pressure and burnout of prison guard managers. Using the method of questionnaire survey, we randomly select 101 nursing managers from Hsinchu prison as the research object. We first discuss the causes of working stress and job burnout of nursing managers. The results show that: 1. There is a significantly negative relation between the stress source from “working overtime” and “educational attainment”; 2. There is a significantly negative relation between the stress source from “chief support” and the age of the rehab managers; 3. The pressure source from “service distribution” is significantly and negatively correlated with “age”, “geographical proximity” and “motivation to engage in corrective work”; 4. The pressure source from “service distribution” is significantly and negatively correlated with “qualification of the institution”, “job title” and “motivation to engage in corrective work”; 5. There is a significantly negative correlation between the stress sources from “monotonous work” and “age” of nursing managers. We further explore potential solutions to mitigate the working stress and job burnout of nursing managers, and the results are summarized as follows: 1. subsidy has significant impact for nursing managers who have geographical incentives and are relatively junior; 2. The normal duty of the nursing managers has a significantly negative correlation with the qualification of the institution; 3. The institutional support does not have significant impact for nursing managers; 4. The pension incentive has a significantly positive correlation with the job title of nursing managers; 5. The improvement of institutional facilities has a significant positively correlation with the job title of nursing managers; 6. The leisure incentive has a significantly positive correlation with the educational level and a significantly negative correlation with the qualifications of the institution; 7; There is no significant relation between the “elastic space” of the nursing managers and the presentation of all projects. Based on these results, we believe that the prison authorities can use: (i) to establish intelligent safety equipment for the protection of Science and Technology (ii) to strengthen the medical equipment and the insurance System (iii) Measures to reduce the work pressure and burnout of prison guard managers, and thus enhance their efficiency. Key words: Guard management personnel, work pressure, job burnout.
