It also helps to evaluate the connectivity between wells and the flow behavior of the groundwater. Thermal water production in Chingshui geothermal field is mainly from the fracture zone in the Jentse member of the Lushan Formation. In this study, a tracer test was conducted in Chingshui geothermal field using sodium benzoate as a tracer. Wells IC-19 and IC-21 were employed as a production well and an injection well, respectively. Based on the analysis of tracer test, we estimated the geothermal reservoir parameters using the theory of solute transport.
