Summary: | 碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 水利及海洋工程學系碩士在職專班 === 107 === In Taiwan, flood and draught often result from concentrated rainfall in summer and narrow, steep and short rivers. In recent years, the workload of drainage station grows significantly as a result of rainfall increase from extreme climate change and progressing development of riverside lowland. Efficiency of drainage station is proportional to efficiency of drainage pump. However, the configuration and operational condition of pumping inlet and outlet vary with regional difference, so grasping the relationship between drainage pump efficiency and operational condition is difficult. Hence, investigating the influence mechanism on drainage efficiency of pumping outlet pipe and drainage channel contributes to effective improvement of drainage station efficiency.
This research investigates the influence of angle between pumping outlet pipe and drainage channel on drainage efficiency. The experimental model is based on Flood Drainage Station 5 of Wujia, Kaohsiung City. The water circulation in model water channel is driven by a 100w submersible pump and has 80L/min maximum flow rate. The water level in model water channel is 0.55m. The drainage rates in 0°, 45° and 90° angle between pumping outlet pipe and drainage channel are measured by flow rate meter, and the influence of angle change on drainage rate is recorded. The experimental results show that the effect of pumping outlet pipe configuration on drainage efficiency and channel wall is significant. The outlet pipe which has 0° angle to drainage channel and is installed above drainage water level is the most efficient and makes the least impact on channel. In general, 0° angle between pumping outlet pipe and drainage channel results in the smoothest channel flow, and the drainage efficiency can be additionally raised by installing pumping outlet pipe above flood water level. This conclusion and advice can provide guidance for future public and private drainage pump plans.
