Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 工業與資訊管理學系碩士在職專班 === 107 === The main functions of topcoat paint are to color and protect buildings, and hence the quality of the paint is critical to the life of a building. Since paint is mainly composed of resin and pigment, the quality of paint highly depends on the type and proportion of these two ingredients. This study is aimed at changing the formula of topcoat paint for finding one that can achieve a better quality for anti-aging. Ultraviolet accelerated test machines are generally used for the aging test on paints. Various formulas of paint are first applied on boards and dried naturally after one week. The boards are then put into ultraviolet accelerated test machines to simulate weathering test. The gloss and color differences between before and after the test are collected as aging data. Since those differences are all numeric, numerical prediction method M5P is used to grow model trees for discovering the key factors affecting aging. Based on the structure and the linear regression equations in the model trees, a better topcoat paint should be composed of high proportion of resin and low proportion of pigment. Good types of resin and pigment are also identified for color and gloss retention. Those findings can be employed to produce topcoat paint that is more resistant to aging.
