They manage the energy saving of buildings with four stages of layout, construction, verification and operation. However, there is no international short-term verification standard of a solar photovoltaic (PV) system for green buildings until now. So we measured and analyzed eight systems with their capacity from 1 kW to 50 kW. They locate at different places from southern to northern Taiwan. The research builds an approach for the verification of a solar PV system with performance parameters including solar array ratio, inverter efficiency and system efficiency on the stage of verification about green building seals. The study also proposes performance equations of solar array and system efficiency with short-term measurement in order to help engineers to design solar PV systems on the layout stage of green building seals.
