Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 園藝學系所 === 107 === The purpose of the experiment is to discuss the effects of various factors on scaling, providing more efficient ways for propagation, which could be further used for the reproduction of other similar varieties. Outer scales had better effect of scaling than inner scales and had significant differences. Bulblets of Lilium ‘White Triumph’ notably enlarged when scaling in peatmoss and formed fewer roots when scaling in perlite, and therefore, more convenient to cultivate. The ratio between medium and scales, and humidity of medium, and vent had insignificant differences to the numbers, size, fresh weight and roots of bulblets. Soaking scales of Lilium ‘Zambesi’ in IBA before propagation, more roots were formed, which was not beneficial to the growth of the bulblets in the zipper bags. Without affecting the size and the fresh weight the bulblets, soaking in 50% coconut milk resisted the growth of roots, avoided tangled roots with medium, and helped scales propagate in zipper bags. Bulblets grow rapidly in 4-6 weeks and continue growing until 12 weeks. The total soluble solid content of scale dropped dramatically in the 4-6 weeks, and so did the starch content in bulblets. The appearance of bulblets and roots were formed at the stage. The starch in the bulblets increased more apparently in 6-10 week; from 28.75mg/g DW in 6 weeks to 40.5 mg/g DW in 10 weeks. After 10 weeks, starch in bulblets began to decrease. Scaling is better controlled in 12 weeks and then low temperature treatment at 5℃. Emergence ratio reached 98.6% after low temperature treatment at 5℃ for 6 weeks while that without low temperature treatment was merely 22.6%. The diameter of the bulblets was bigger in low temperature treatment at 5℃ after 10 weeks, which was beneficial to the growth and cultivation of bulblets.
