Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 機械工程學系所 === 107 === Coking is a very important process in the consistent operation of iron-making plants. It mainly produces thermal energy and redox coal char for the blast furnace. Coking is the production of coke by pyrolysis of coal. When the coking process is completed, high temperature coke of about 1040 °C is produced. The hot coke cannot be directly sent to the blast furnace. Therefore, it is necessary to lower the coke temperature first. Commonly used coke cooling methods include wet water quenching and dry gas cooling. Among them, the dry coke quenching process is gradually gaining global attention because of its obvious benefits for energy saving, carbon reduction and environmental protection. The air-cooled of dry coke quenching cooling effect is mainly determined by the convective heat transfer between the coke and the circulating gas, which in turn depends on the flow rate and temperature of the circulating gas, as well as the porosity between the coke and the size of the coke particles. This study mainly discusses the heat transfer phenomenon inside the dry quenching furnace, analyzes the energy use efficiency of the cooling process, Using the CFD three-dimensional steady state mode to analysis the flow field and heat transfer process inside the quenching furnace. And uses the one-dimensional unsteady mode to explore the influence of coke particle size, circulating air volume and porosity on the energy consumption of dry coke quenching furnace, based on actual production and experimental data to study the law of flow heat transfer between circulating gas and coke, to provide operation for quenching furnace basic theoretical.
