Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 化學工程學系所 === 107 === Graphene is a popular material because of its unique two-dimensional (2D) structure and intrigued physical and chemical properties. Graphene obtained from chemical exfoliation is usually prepared by graphite oxidation in a mixing solution containing strong acids and oxidants, which severely destroys the honeycomb lattices of graphene and deteriorates its performance even though these defects could be recovered partly by subsequent reduction process. Recently, electrochemical exfoliation of graphite has attracted attention due to its easy, fast and environmentally friendly nature to produce high quality graphene. In this study, one step electrochemical process can synthesize exfoliated graphene oxide (GO). The exfoliated GO is grafted onto a printed circuit board (PCB), and then the GO sheets is reduced to graphene as a conductive layer. Especially, we discovered that electrochemically exfoliated GO without reduction can also be used as a conductive layer on copper electroplating on a PCB. The operating parameters which influence the electron transfer on the electrochemically exfoliated GO, such as electrolytes and graphite source, were investigated by using several analysis methods, such as atomic force microscopy (AFM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and Raman spectroscopy techniques. If we figure out how these factors affect the exfoliated GO properties, we can synthesize the tunable GO which we want.
